What is "Reactive Dye" - Definition & Explanation

Reactive Dye
Dyes which react chemically with the fibre. Used predominantly in the dyeing of cotton. Reactive dye effluent is highly coloured due to poor fabric take-up and is notoriously difficult to decolourise.
